BOSTON (AP) — Boston emergency medical authorities say many people who attended an electronic dance music show featuring Swedish disc jockey Avicii at the TD Garden arena showed up intoxicated and several have been hospitalized.

TD Garden spokeswoman Tricia McCorkle says at Wednesday night’s Avicii concert “there were a number of transports due to medical issues.”

Emergency Medical Service Deputy Superintendent Mike Bosse tells the Boston Herald that EMS took 22 people to the hospital and a dozen more were under evaluation. He says he contacted the Boston Police Licensing Division, which cited the TD Garden for allowing lots of intoxicated concertgoers to enter.

Avicii spokeswoman Diana Baron says she’s waiting for a full report from the venue and promoter.
