NJ teen found shot dead in SUV

WEST ORANGE, N.J. (PIX11) — A teen home from college was found lifeless inside an SUV parked in a New Jersey neighborhood Thursday morning, police said.

Authorities said Brendan Tevlin, 19,  was found shot to death at about 1:30 a.m. in the driver’s seat of a Land Rover 4×4 parked near Walker Road and Northfield Avenue in West Orange.

Tevlin had just wrapped up his freshman year at the University of Richmond.

Authorities believe Tevlin was targeted by his killer.

Investigators say that Tevlin had no known enemies, but believe he was targeted by his killer.

There are no known suspects at this time.

    Hi I believe your information is completely wrong. It was a jeep not a land rover and he was found dead on the passenger side of the vehicle. Thanks

    he was also found a mile from where he was shot, in the parking lot of some apartment complex. He was not found at the intersection mentioned , but in the parking lot. It is believed that the killer drove the car to the lot with brendan in it.
