Attacker sought after 56-year-old critically hurt in Queens

The man caught on surveillance footage is accused of punching Martires on Roosevelt Ave. June 21.

WOODSIDE, Queens (PIX11) — A 56-year-old man is fighting for his life after an attacker caught on camera punched him in Queens, police said.

The victim was walking shortly after midnight June 21 in front of 69-04 Roosevelt Ave. in the Woodside section of Queens when an unknown assailant punched him in the face, NYPD said.

The unidentified victim was taken to a hospital and listed in critical condition.

Police want to talk to a Hispanic male with facial hair in his early- to mid-20s. A man who fits that description was spotted by surveillance cameras near the site of the attack. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and dark-colored baseball cap.
