NEW YORK (PIX11) — After over 20 years as one of the most recognizable voices in New York City, Angie Martinez has resigned from her post at Hot 97.

“Today I resigned from HOT97. I am grateful to the Emmis family for my time with the company and the immeasurable way that it has shaped my life,” Martinez wrote on her Instagram account Wednesday. “This was one of the toughest decisions I’ve ever had to make but ultimately it is time to move on, to grow and to be challenged in new ways.”

Martinez, known as “The Voice of New York,” began her career at Hot 97 answering phones at 16-years-old.

“Thank you HOT97 and most importantly….the listeners… for an unimaginable journey,” Martinez wrote.

Hot 97’s competitor Power 105.1 replied with a smiley face at the announcement of Martinez’s departure.

  • office cleaning services

As a homeowner you should be aware that the pipes in your
home can get clogged over time. One of the great things
about starting a service business is the relatively low investment needed.
It is quite disappointing to invest the company resources to a cleaning service that will bring
    more harm than good.
