THE BRONX  (PIX11) — A 14-year-old boy has died after being stabbed outside a Bronx Middle School by a fellow student Wednesday afternoon.

Police say Timothy Crump was stabbed multiple times in the stomach outside of Joseph Wade Middle School on Morris Avenue in the Tremont section of the borough at about 3 p.m.

Sources say Crump may have robbed his attacker earlier.

Crump was rushed to a Bronx Lebanon Hospital where he died.

A 14-year-old suspect is in custody and the weapon has been recovered.

One of the suspect’s neighbors told PIX11 the boy suffers from psychiatric issues and was just recently released from a psychiatric ward.

Charges are pending.

With all these stabbings in the public schools I think they should look in to metal detectors..for all schools this is the lives of our kids ….I think the broad of education should look into some way that a child wouldn’t take any weapon to school…
