NEW YORK (PIX11) — A pint-sized basketball phenom is skillfully dribbling her way up the athletic ladder.
Jaden Newman, 9, received an official recruiting letter from the University of Miami’s basketball coach earlier this month, according to USA TODAY Sports.
Playing basketball since she was 3 years old, Newman earned national headlines in January for playing on a high school varsity team while she was in fourth grade.
Newman averages about 14 points per game and has scored a whopping 63 points in a single game for a career best.
It’s unclear where she’ll go to college. After all, she does have nearly a decade to make that decision.
