Chinese woman breeds 100,000 cockroaches in own home

You wouldn’t want this woman as your neighbor.

Yuan Mexia of eastern China breeds as many as 100,000 cockroaches in her house to sell to pharmaceutical companies. Furthermore, she refers to them as her “children, my babies,” according to the South China Morning Post.

Before selling the insects, which are popular for use in Chinese medicine, for about $100 a kilo, she kills them by drowning them in vats of water and drying them in the sun.
