UPPER EAST SIDE (PIX11) – New Yorkers jumped into the history books Wednesday.

More than 300 trampolines were set up at Asphalt Green, ready to be the bouncy scene of a world record attempt for the most people working out on trampolines at the same time.

Exactly 315 participants knocked out 302 jumpers in the U.K., who originally set the record in 2012.

The feat wasn’t always in the bag, though. Just before the official 8 a.m. start time, the group was 20 jumpers short but they ended with 13 more leapers than necessary.

A judge with Guinness World Records at the park confirmed the record was shattered.
