SEATTLE (PIX11) – A woman was apparently so tired that her anger at being woken up by runners participating in a charity event for cancer research manifested itself into a truly disgusting act.

Police said the woman tossed cat poop, frozen chicken parts and green liquid at athletes participating in a Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. It happened about 9:30 a.m. Sunday, PIX11 sister station in Seattle Q13FOX reported.

As walkers and runners marched on during the charity race, a hail of garbage fell from a fifth story apartment in the 2100 block of Second Avenue, police said.

A participate in her 60s using a walker was splashed with green liquid. A 13-year-old girl suffered a welt when she was hit with a frozen chicken breast, police said.

Also among the dirty droppings were 5 to 10 pounds of used kitty litter, police said.

When officers first visited the apartment they believe to be the origin of the trash, the woman refeused to answer the door, Q13FOX reported.

Eventually, she confessed to tossing garbage at the athletes, apparently because she had worked a long shift and was angry that the race woke her up.

The woman, who has not been identified, was arrested and could face assault charges.
