Tips on NY student missing for 3 years still come in

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Three years after a 20-year-old college student from New York went missing, investigators are still receiving tips about her disappearance, according to police working on the case.

The most recent tip about Lauren Spierer came in May 29, the Bloomingston Police Department said. As of Monday, the department has received 282 tips about her in the past year alone.

Police say investigators “remain hopeful that someone with knowledge of the circumstances surrounding Lauren’s disappearance will do the right thing by stepping up and contacting our agency.”
