Mother of toddler found abandoned on Bronx street arrested

THE BRONX (PIX11) — The mother of a toddler found abandoned on a Bronx street corner has been arrested.

Diana Paniagua, 29, of the Bronx, has been charged with reckless endangerment and abandonment of a child, the authorities said.

Authorities say the child, who appears to be about two-years-old, was found sitting in a blue stroller on the corner of East 141 Street and Rider Avenue at about 5:30 a.m.

Witnesses say they saw a young woman with a light complexion and black hair pushing the boy in the stroller earlier. The woman was dressed in all black and had her hair pulled up in a bun.


Witnesses say they saw the little boy being pushed in the stroller by a young woman earlier.

The child was taken Lincoln Hospital for observation and is now in the custody of Child Services.

    Smh how can. You do that to a small child she should of took him to the police station or fire station or the hospital there’s churches out there she bugging hope she never comes out
