Off-duty officer dies after being struck by car in Queens

JAMAICA, Queens (PIX11) — An off-duty police officer has died after being struck by a car in Queens Monday, sources tell PIX11.

Motorcycle struck

An off-duty NYPD officer is in critical condition after his motorcycle was struck by another vehicle near 158th St. and Linden Blvd. (Ayana Harry)

The 28-year-old officer was hit while riding a motorcycle near Linden Boulevard and 158th Street in Jamaica at about 5 p.m.

He was transported to Jamaica hospital where he died of his injuries.

The officers name or precinct where he worked has not yet been released.

The driver of the car stayed on the scene.
