NORTH CAROLINA (PIX11) — Country star Luke Bryan took a spill in front of almost 20,000 people on his “That’s My Kind of Night” tour.

He was at the PNC Music Pavillion in Charlotte, in the midst of his hit single “Can’t Hold Us” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, when he accidentally stepped off the stage.

A concert promoter that works closely with Bryan posted this picture of the injury:

He quickly got back on stage while the background music continued playing.

Bryan then joked with the audience: “The last time I was in North Carolina I busted my a** on stage … what is it about North Carolina that makes me bust my a**?”

The star later assured his fans on Twitter everything was fine:

It seems the country star has had a history of concert mishaps: he also fell during one in 2012 at Panama City Beach and at Greensboro Coluseum earlier in 2014.

The 37-year-old singer’s hit singles include “Play it Again,” “Crash My Party,” and “She got me high.”
