NEW YORK (PIX) – Some New York City men are apparently drinking a new elixir to help with workouts, chemotherapy and whatever else ails them — human breast milk.

One Queens man named Anthony told New York Magazine he started drinking breast milk after discovering that it was a stamina-builder used by men he’d met at the gym.

“It gives me incredible energy I don’t get from other food and drinks,” he told the magazine.  “I always compensate the women I buy from.”

As if straight out of a Dave Chappelle skit, there are men searching for the finest breast milk in New York City.  Anthony says he gets his milk for $2.50 an ounce, and has resorted to using online vendors such as Only the Breast after his previous supplier, his neighbor, stopped nursing.

Quality is indeed a concern for breast milk buffs, a study by the Journal of Pediatrics last October found “high overall bacterial growth and frequent contamination” in samples bought online.
