Flames rip through New Jersey multi-family home

HARRISON, N.J. (PIX11) — Six families were rushed from a burning home in New Jersey after flames erupted in the middle of the night, officials said.

Report of the three-alarm blaze came in shortly after 4 a.m. It called out crews from five fire departments to battle the flames on South Fifth Street in Harrison, fire officials said.

The back of the burned home collapsed, but surrounding structures were saved.

There have been no reports of injuries so far.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
