Several overnight Memorial Day shootings

NEW YORK (PIX11) — An overwhelming number of shootings happened in the overnight hours.

In Brooklyn, a total of six people were shot, one fatally.

In Manhattan, two people were stabbed on a southbound four train headed uptown.

Two other people were shot in separate incidents.

In Newark, an off-duty police officer was involved in a shooting on Delancy street after a thief tried to rob him.

Craig Treadway has more on a shooting in Central Islip that wounded a 17-year-old.
