PERQUIMANS COUNTY, N.C. (PIX11) – An entire North Carolina family is accused of a repulsive crime.

Authorities in Perquimans County said a husband, wife and their six adult sons have been charged after a girl claimed she was sexually abused for a decade, starting when she was just 4 years old.

The Jackson brothers were all homeschool with the alleged victim, who is now 16, according to the Perquimans County Sheriff’s Department. They range in age from 18 to 27.

Authorities said the brothers’ parents were charged because they witnessed the abuse.

Investigators told PIX11 sister station NewsChannel 3 they’ve been probing this case for more than year.

One of the brothers came forward in 2012. But when deputies tried to speak with the girl in question, they said her parents would not let her talk.

The family moved to Colorado and while there, the now-16-year-old alerted Child Protective Services about the alleged abuse.

All six of the brothers were being held Monday on $150,000 bond each, NewsChannel 3 reported. Their parents were released on $15,000 bond.
