Body of missing Brooklyn designer Jay Ott found in NY Bay

Ott was last seen entering his apartment in Bushwick in late March.

BROOKLYN (PIX11) — The body of Brooklyn fashion designer James “Jay” Ott was found floating in the New York Bay Thursday.

Ott, who went missing in late March, was found floating near 58th Street in Bay Ridge. Authorities believe Ott’s death is a suicide.

Ott, who did designs for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s fashion label, was last seen entering his apartment in Bushwick.

At the time of his disappearance, authorities said Ott suffered from anxiety.

The Medical Examiner will determine Ott’s cause of death.
