Scattered thunderstorms until Friday afternoon with milder temps

(PIX11 WEATHER CENTER) –Light rain will fall throughout the morning for much of the Tri-State area before tapering off to scattered showers this afternoon.  High temperatures will have quite a range from the low 60s for the City, mid to upper 60s north and west, and low 70s over central New Jersey.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and patchy fog with a low temperature of 55 degrees in the City, low to mid 50s in the suburbs.

On Friday we can expect mostly cloudy with a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms.   Temperatures will be slightly milder with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s.

Saturday will feature cloudy skies with rain and thunderstorms especially in the afternoon.  Some may contain locally heavy downpours.  Temperatures will be much warmer with highs in the low to mid 70s.

Mother’s day will start off cloudy and give way to partly sunny skies in the afternoon.  High temperatures will be very mild in the mid-70s in the City with some spots reaching the upper 70s.
