Gilberto Valle was convicted in 2013 of plotting to kill and eat women. A year later, his mother says he’s working in a jailhouse kitchen.

MANHATTAN (PIX11) — A former police officer in jail for plotting to kill and eat women is working in a jailhouse kitchen, his mother told The Daily News.

Gilberto Valle makes breakfast and lunch for his fellow inmates at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan earning 44 cents an hour, the outlet reported Thursday.

His pizza is so delicious, his mother said, that even the guards dig in.

The so-called cannibal cop was convicted in March 2013 for conspiring to kidnap and kill women then cook and eat his victims. He has not yet been sentenced as a judge considers Valle’s appeal, according to The Daily News.
