9-year-old girl killed in Brooklyn crash

NEW YORK (PIX11) — A 9-year-old girl was killed in a car crash that injured five others in Brooklyn.

Police say the girl was a passenger in a sedan that was struck by a minivan at the intersection of Avenue N and Remsen Avenue at about 7 p.m. Sunday. The minivan also hit another car.

The girl was taken to Brookdale Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police have not released her identity.

Two occupants in the sedan and three occupants in the other vehicle were hospitalized in stable condition.

The driver of the Honda was taken into custody at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing by the Collision Investigation Squad.
