PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. (PIX11) – A pair of cars was completely submerged by mud at a Long Island business Thursday after a pounding storm system brought record rain to the region.

The mudslide happened overnight at 6 Harbor Park Drive in Port Washington. Two cars in a parking lot were covered in mud, but no injuries were reported and no road closures were enacted.

The cleanup continued into the day Thursday as the sun peaked through the clouds and the rainy weather appeared to move out of the area.
