Police seek gunman who fatally shot 16-year-old in Brooklyn

EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (PIX11) — A Brooklyn mother who knew 16-year-old Michael Moore said he was a nice young man.

She and others in East Flatbush, Brooklyn are horrified by this tragedy.

According to investigators, on Saturday, April 26th, at 12:44 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 92 East 53rd Street in East Flatbush, Brooklyn.

When police got there, they found 16-year-old Michael Moore unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his head.

Police say there was some type of argument before shots were fired, it’s unknown if the victim was involved in the dispute or not.

EMS transported the teen to Kings County Hospital, but he could not be saved.

Moore was pronounced dead at 1:01 p.m.

Residents who live near the crime were left uneasy by this violent crime.

There are no arrests at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
