NEW YORK (PIX11) — The city’s horse carriage debate is heating up yet again.

New video that surfaced has sparked even more protests.

This video was captured Wednesday near the Plaza Hotel shows the horse pinned to the ground underneath a toppled over carriage.

A spokesperson said the horse became tangled with another horse.

A small protest was held at the scene on 58th Street Thursday.

Many say the carriages are inhumane.

A carriage industry spokeswoman says the horse got tangled with another carriage.

Mayor de Blasio is looking to ban horse-drawn carriage by year’s end.
