New York Mets v Chicago Cubs

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Jon Niese pitched 6.2 strong innings for the Mets last night to earn his 1st win of the year in the Mets 3-2 vs. the Cardinals last night.

It was freezing at the game! Niese’s great performance included 3 K’s and only 1 ER. Kyle Farnsworth got his 2nd save of the year despite almost blowing it in the 9th to a potential rally.

Curtis Granderson looks very confident and relaxed now, he got his 1st hit in a while to end his no-hit slump and I think this is a start of seeing the old Grandy. The Mets got their 2 runs in the 4th when Cardinals pitcher Michael Wacha loaded the bases for the Mets and they drew 2 walks for 2 runs.

The last run came on a Lucas Duda solo-homer in the 6th.  The Mets have 1 more game of this series against the Cards today at 1:10.
