BROOKLYN (PIX11) — The man accused of throwing a Molotov cocktail into a Brooklyn bodega, setting the store’s clerk on fire, has been arrested and charged, according to police.

Police said Charles Diaz, 35, exchanged words with Asif Butt, the clerk of a 24-hour mini-mart on Fort Hamiliton Parkway in Borough Park Wednesday morning over store credit.

Cops say Diaz threw the explosive into the bodega after an argument with the clerk.

After leaving, Diaz allegedly came back and threw the explosive into the store, causing Butt’s hair and jacket to catch on fire.

Luckily, Butt only suffered minor injures.

Diaz has been charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
