Teen accused of beating duck to death with bat

LEXINGTON, N.C. (PIX11) — A North Carolina teen has been charged with animal cruelty after authorities say he cruelly beat a duck to death with a bat.

Fox 8 reports that 18-year-old William Luke McDowell beat the pet duck with a baseball bat while at a friend’s house.

The incident was allegedly recorded by McDowell’s friend and the video has been circulating the internet for weeks.

According to NBC Charlotte, a voice behind the camera says, “Hard as you can. He’s suffering, just whack as hard as you can,” as McDowell callously beat the crying animal.

The teens can be heard laughing.

McDowell allegedly tweeted, “People think I’m terrible for that video of me killing the duck but I die laughing every time I watch it.”

Wildlife activists caught wind of the video and contacted authorities.

The unnamed teen who filmed the disturbing video has since been charged as well.

McDowell is being held on $1,000 bond.

    What would really be funny is a video of a duck beating this sadist to death with a baseball bat. I would laugh my head off.
