In 2009 Darren Meenan caught the attention of Mets fans when he wore a t-shirt that read “I Survived” in reference to another losing season. Darren took to his parent’s basement and turned that one t-shirt into a full clothing line.
By the summer of 2010 the operation moved from the basement, to a warehouse in Jamaica, Queens. Starting in April 2014, The 7 Line is now an officially licensed MLB brand with a kiosk inside Citi Field.
Darren also established The 7 Line Army outings, where fans gather in groups at home and on the road, to cheer on their favorite team.
