PROVO, Utah (AP) — Authorities say a Utah woman accused of killing six babies that she gave birth to over 10 years told investigators that she either strangled or suffocated the children and then put them inside boxes in her garage.

Megan Huntsman

Megan Huntsman allegedly gave birth to, and killed 6 children over the span of 10 years.

According to a probable cause statement released by police Monday, Megan Huntsman said that between 1996 and 2006, she gave birth to at least seven babies at her home and that all but one of them were born alive.

Neighbors said she moved out of the home she was living in until 2011 due to substance abuse issues, according to CNN.

She said she killed them immediately after they were born, and put their bodies inside boxes. The statement said each baby was wrapped in either a towel or a shirt, and placed in a plastic bag.

The daughters didn't know (but how?), the father did not know (but how?), no one noticed the stench from the garage, did one of the daughters give birth and the mother just confiscated the child, were there different fathers involved whilst the husband was behind bars, was this a cry for help, an act of self sabotage, was it just aborted fetuses or a reluctance to seek abortion or could one even suppose there was a kindred fascination of just being pregnant simply for the sake of being pregnant and the child was simply a disposable after thought ???
