Homeless people reportedly living inside Manhattan Bridge

NEW YORK (PIX11) — Portions of the Manhattan Bridge are being used as living quarters these days.

According to the New York Post, homeless people are building living units, some no larger than a coffin, into the underside of the upper deck of the bridge.

Some of the spaces are no bigger than a coffin, the Post reports.

The “rooms” are below car traffic but above subway and bike lanes.

They’re accessible by climbing a fence and opening a bike lock bolted to a mental beam.
