NEW YORK (PIX11) – The adorable pup that chased after a Metro-North train last week has a new family.

New York’s Animal Care and Control announced Monday that “Tie” has found a great new home.

They received about three dozen applications for the energetic pooch before she was given to the Miller family.

Adorable dog

Two NYPD officers gave the adorable pooch her name because of all the railroad ties she ran over in her sprint from the Bronx to Harlem.

Two NYPD officers, Luis Alvarez and Errol Borges, gave Tie the name because of the railroad ties the pooch ran over in her sprint alongside a train from a rail yard on 149th Street in the Bronx to the 125th Street station in Harlem.

She’s believed to be a shepherd-collie mix.

The ACC says that it still has lots of other dogs and animals deserving of a new home.
