(PIX WEATHER CENTER)– Beautiful spring weather has settled in across the tri-state area.

Can it last? At least for two more days. We can expect highs in the 70’s, Sunday and Monday although breezes off the chilly ocean will keep it much cooler along the New Jersey shore, Long Island and Connecticut coast.

The next change will come Tuesday as a strong cold front moves through the area.

It will bring showers and thunderstorms to our area.

The rain may be heavy at times before ending later in the day.

After that system, it will unfortunately get quite cool.

In fact, it will have a late March/early April feel to it as Wednesday and Thursday daytime highs will only make it to 50.

The nights will be in the 30’s with a few 20’s in the suburbs.
