Police search for suspect in Bronx attempted rape

TREMONT, Bronx (PIX11)– Police are searching for the man they say tried to rape a woman in her Bronx apartment building.

Officials say the suspect followed the victim into her building on April 11 around 06:45 a.m. in the Tremont section of the Bronx.

When the woman reached the second floor of the building, the suspect grabbed her and tried to rape her.

The woman fought back and yelled, causing the suspect to flee.

Police describe the suspect as a 30 to 35-year-old man who is between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10. He was last seen wearing a white tee shirt, black jacket, blue jeans and a Philadelphia Phillies baseball hat.
