BUSHWICK, Brooklyn (PIX11) — A hit-and-run driver is being sought Thursday after slamming into a bicyclist in Brooklyn, leaving him to die on the pavement before hitting two cars and running away.

The driver of a red 2014 BMW struck a 46-year-old cyclist about 7:50 a.m. Wednesday near Broadway and Halsey Street in Bushwick, police said.

After leaving the cyclist mortally wounded in the roadway, the driver kept going, first striking an unoccupied parked car then slamming into an SUV pulling out of a driveway, injuring its passengers, NYPD said.

The hit-and-run driver ran from the car and has not yet been found.

The victim was found unconscious and unresponsive suffering from severe head and body trauma, and taken a hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was identified as Angel Torres, 46, of Brooklyn.

Anyone with information in the case is urged to call police.
