YONKERS, N.Y. (PIX11) — A newborn and his mother are resting easy thanks to some fast acting police officers and emergency workers.

Yonkers Police responded to a call around 1 a.m., Tuesday morning for reports of a person who fell.

When they got there, they found the woman was not injured, but in labor.

Assisted by police officers and emergency workers in the bathroom, the mother delivered a healthy 7-pound, 9-ounce baby boy.

The mother named the baby Anthony after one of the police officers who helped with the delivery.
