Rain to linger, but what about the cold?

NEW YORK (PIX11) – A system is moving through the area tonight giving the and maybe an isolated thunderstorm for parts of the area.


Rain will be steady through the evening hours before turning scattered after midnight. Any shower could be briefly heavy with and isolated thunderstorm. With any heavy thunderstorm overnight, flash flooding could become an issue.


Showers will linger through tomorrow morning as the associated cold front moves through the area. Skies will eventually clear out. Despite the cold front moving through, cooler temperatures will take its time moving in allowing highs to be in the mid 60s for the city.


Cooler temperatures will be in place by Tuesday night. Lows will drop into the mid 40s . On Wednesday, skies will be partly sunny but temperatures will stay in the 50s. Normal highs for this time of the year is around 58 degrees.

Temperatures  turn around on Thursday with highs returning to the mid 60s with sunny skies.
