JACKSON CO., Miss. (PIX11) — Strange lights caught on camera by a couple in Mississippi are raising eyebrows about what the phenomenon could be.
The lights were caught on trail cameras set up by Edith and Rainer Shattles on February 16.
The cameras are set off by motion, usually when deer arrive on their property.
At around 7:24 p.m., the deer appear on camera and all seems normal. Then a few minutes later a dim light appears and continues to grow brighter. About 20 minutes later, a bright object appears on the camera appearing to be headlights.
But the cameras are located in the middle of the woods and the light is in the sky.
According to the Shattles, the cameras are infrared do not omit light.
The family says there is debate with friends over whether it’s a UFO or a government drone.
“It’s a puzzle that may never be solved and it’s one that’s kind of fun, adds a little flavor to life,” Rainer told WLOX.
