(PIX11 WEATHER CENTER) — It will be a damp and gray day to end the work week as a stationary front will bring showers and periods of rain throughout the day.
Temperatures will be unseasonably cool with highs in the mid 40s Friday afternoon. Showers and rain will continue into the overnight as a cold front will pass through the region before moving offshore.
Skies will begin to clear on Saturday as high pressure moves in from the Tennessee Valley. Temperatures will rebound into the upper 50s Saturday with some spots getting close to 60 degrees. Sunday will be sunny and pleasant as the high will center itself over the area. High temperatures will be in the mid 50s with upper 50s in the suburbs.
The next storm system to affect our area will arrive later on Monday and bring another round of rain for the region. Clouds will increase Monday afternoon then rain will develop Monday evening.
High temperatures will be in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees.
