Culinary Fight Night is an exciting and interactive cooking competition with elements of “Iron Chef” and “Chopped,” while incorporating an amazing charitable element. Created by Chef Walt Henderson, the event highlights local chefs and raises awareness for various foundations and charities worldwide.
Chef De Jesus of Chefs TAPE and Chef Kelvin Fernandez of Blend on the Water went head to head inside a Vegas style boxing ring setting in The Sons of Essex, to compete for the title and a cash prize.
The two teams of chefs took 3 special ingredients and incorporated them into a 3 course meal for a panel of 7 judges, including PIX 11’s own Lisa Mateo. In the end, Chef Jose took home a check for $10,000, half of which went to his charity of choice, St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
