(PIX11 WEATHER CENTER) — Friday will be a beautiful first full day of spring as high pressure will pass to the south of the region.

We will see plenty of sunshine with a warm southwest wind. High temperatures will be in the low 50s for NYC and mid 50s for the suburbs.

High pressure will continue to slide offshore tomorrow bringing warm air from the Gulf of Mexico. It will be partly cloudy and unseasonably mild with a chance of scattered morning showers.  High temperatures will be near 60 degrees for the City, mid to upper 60s for the suburbs.

Sunday will be partly cloudy, windy, and cooler with highs in the low to mid 40s.

By Monday cold Canadian air will work its way back into the region bringing us back to unseasonably cold conditions. Skies will be sunny with highs which will struggle to get out of the upper 30s.

We are keeping an eye on a storm system for Tuesday into Wednesday which has the potential to bring another round of wintry weather.

The track and timing of this system will determine the impact it will have on the area.
