Child, adult pedestrians struck by car in Jersey City

JERSEY CITY (PIX11) — Two pedestrians — a child and a woman — were hit by a car in Jersey City, according to authorities.

The unidentified child was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center under trauma alert while the woman was extricated from underneath an automobile.

Hit and run

A woman and child were hit at Washington Street & Morris Street in Jersey City around 6:30 p.m.

The car stayed on scene.

The extent of the injuries on both is unknown.

The relationship between the two is also not known.
