Malaysia Air Plane missing

The defense minister says files were deleted in February.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP/PIX11) — Malaysia’s defense minister says files were recently deleted from the home flight simulator belonging to the pilot aboard the missing Malaysian jetliner.

The defense minister says investigators are trying to retrieve the files deleted Feb. 3, but says Capt. Zaharie Ahmad Shahere is considered innocent until proven guilty of any wrongdoing.

Files could have been deleted to free up space.

Investigators have been looking at a number of possible explanations for the plane seemingly vanishing in thin air.

Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 with 239 people aboard went missing March 8 on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
