1 dead, 1 critically injured in Upper West Side stabbing

NEW YORK(PIX11) — One person is dead and another critically injured after a stabbing on the Upper West Side Tuesday morning.

The incident happened early Tuesday morning at 784 Columbus Ave, at West 97th Street.

A husband and wife were found stabbed multiple times inside their apartment.


The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have a suspect in custody.

The suspect, believed to be the victims’ son, fled the scene but was later apprehended by cops.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital where she is in critical condition.
