Sicilian mob boss ordered hit on Rudy Giuliani: reports

NEW YORK (PIX11) — The head of the Sicilian mafia wanted Rudy Giuliani to sleep with the fishes.

According to Italian newspapers, crime boss Salvator Riina ordered a hit on Giuliani in the 1980s while he was working as a federal prosecutor.

The papers reported that Riina was unhappy with the relationships Giuliani formed with a Sicilian prosecutors.

Riina sent a hit-man to the United States to take care of Giuliani.

The former NYC mayor says he had an $800,000 price tag on his head during his first year as mayor.
