NEW YORK (PIX11) — The roots of the movie business are right here in New York, and the keeper of that legacy is in Astoria — the Museum of the Moving Image.

Its the only museum dedicated to film, television, and digital media, and it has a collection that’s worth browsing this weekend ahead of the Academy Awards.

PIX11 takes you inside the collection, to show you some of the most significant artifacts collected over decades of Academy Award winning and nominated films.
