SALT LAKE CITY (PIX11) — Some University of Utah students got themselves in hot water in a very cold place.
Campus police busted several students smoking marijuana inside a makeshift igloo on campus, Fox 13 reports.
Officers initially thought the igloo was a homeless camp.
“What they found was an igloo about 5-feet tall, 10-foot diameter,” Sgt. Garth Smith. “It had an entrance to it that had a cardboard door, they said it was about 10-inches thick, the igloo itself.”
The students were allegedly found inside the snow den with marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.
All of the students were given citations.
The igloo was later destroyed with sledgehammers by cops.
The Student Behavior Committee will determine the punishment for the students.
