ADA, Okla. (PIX11) — An Oklahoma woman is facing charges after allegedly showing up to her job as a substitute teacher for elementary school students drunk.
Officials at the Washington Elementary School in Ada called police after they say Michelle Childress appeared drunk and they did not want her to drive her car.
When cops arrived, they said the smell of alcohol on Childress’ breath was strong.
“He called me to sub today,” the woman said when asked by officers what was going on.
Childress was taken into custody, where it was discovered her blood alcohol limit was three times the legal limit.
Childress was charged with public intoxication.
