PIX WEATHER CENTER — The winter that won’t quit but this storm is quickly winding down.

The only leftover accumulating snow is now over the eastern sections of Suffolk County.

Flurries may linger into the night but be long gone by morning.

Two to four inches seems to be the average for most of the region but amounts of 6 or more inches will still be likely across the east end and on out towards the points.

Very windy conditions will follow as the storm explodes off the New England coast.

A good old fashioned New England blizzard is underway.

After a decent Sunday, albeit cold but only a chance of flurries, we then turn our attention to yet another storm for Monday night into Tuesday.

That too will add to our growing snowfall total for this winter, which is already in the top 10 snowiest.
