Abused Puppy

NASSAU COUNTY (PIX11) – The search for a cruel abuser continues as a Nassau County animal group raises funds for a young puppy who needs surgery after someone cut off a leg and both of its ears.

The Nassau County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals says the pit bull pup, whose name is “Miss Harper”, is a sweet dog despite the awful treatment it has experienced in its young life.  The group is trying to raise money for badly-needed surgery, and is hoping someone will give the dog a loving home.

Whoever hurt Miss Harper has not been found, and a joint investigation is underway by the NYSPCA and the New York State Attorney General’s Office.

Anyone interested in helping pay for the surgeries or adopting the pup is encouraged to email the NYSPCA at adopt@ncspca.us.

We need to make animal cruelty a Federal crime, with severe penalties. OR, declare open season on them so we can eradicate the planet of these evil slugs.
