12-year-old teen with autism found safe in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (PIX11) — A 12-year-old boy with autism who was reported missing Thursday morning has been found in Brooklyn.

Authorities issued an alert for 12-year-old Brandon Betancourt after he was last seen at his home on 66th Road in Queens around 7 a.m.

New York State had also issued a Missing Child Alert for Betancourt but canceled it shortly after.

Police confirmed that Betancourt had been located and he is safe.
